Welcome to the DEV Blog

An honest record of what is being built, tested, changed, and learned at Forged By Fire.

WelcomeDevelopment Journal

Forged By Fire has always been about turning ideas into things people can actually use. This blog is where the work between the idea and the release will live.

Why this blog exists

A product page tells you what an app or game does. The DEV Blog will tell you how it got there: the choices that worked, the ones that did not, the bugs that changed the plan, and the testing required before something can be called ready.

The goal is not to make every development day look perfect. The goal is to document real progress in a way that is useful, understandable, and honest.

What belongs here

  • Software and mobile-app development
  • Game systems, art, maps, balance, and play testing
  • AI products and assistants, including their safety and privacy boundaries
  • Store packaging, certification, release preparation, and platform differences
  • Technical problems, failed approaches, and the lessons that came from them
  • Screenshots and demonstrations when they help show meaningful progress

Status will mean something

Posts will separate ideas from implementation and implementation from release. The language will stay clear:

  • Planned means the work has not been implemented yet.
  • In development means active work exists but is not ready for public use.
  • Testing means a working build is being checked on the named platform or device.
  • Certification means a release candidate is going through a Store or platform review.
  • Available means people can obtain the named version through the stated release channel.

What comes next

Future entries will be organized by project and date, with the newest work at the top of the main DEV Blog page. Some posts will be quick checkpoints. Others will go deeper into a feature, a failure, or a release milestone.

This is the first entry. The forge is already busy.
